This class helps the child trust the parent in the water. The instructor teaches the child to respect the water and enjoy the experience with the parent through drills, games, and songs. The child will be going under the water within the first few weeks. All equipment will be provided for the class. You will need to make sure you and your child has a swimsuit, towels, and that your infant wears a swim diaper during the class.

They also learn to swim a short distance after jumping into the water, and be comfortable lying on their back with little support. Make sure to bring swimsuits, towels, and a swim diaper for your child...All other equipment will be provided.

Parent and Child 3 - 3211603

Parents start the session with their child in the water and then move out of the water slowly, away from their child until the instructor is teaching the children without the parents being present in the water. Make sure you have swimsuits, towels, and a swim diaper for your child.

Preschool Level 1 - 3221610

Learning Objectives:
 Enter water using ramp, steps or side.
 Exit water using ladder, steps or side.
 Blow bubbles
 3 seconds Submerge mouth, nose and eyes.
 Open eyes underwater and retrieve submerged objects (in shallow water)
 Front glide, 2 body lengths recover from a front glide to a vertical position.
 Back glide, 2 body lengths.
 Back float, 3 seconds.
 Recover from a back float or glide to a vertical position Roll from front to back.
 Roll from back to front Arm and hand treading actions (in chest-deep water).
 Alternating leg action on front, 2 body lengths.
 Simultaneous leg action on front, 2 body lengths.
 Alternating arm action on front, 2 body lengths.

Exit Skills Assessment:
 Enter independently, using either the ramp, steps or side, travel at least 5 yards,
submerge to mouth and blow bubbles for at least 3 seconds, then safely exit the water.
 Is able to complete 3 bobs repeatedly successfully submerging all the way under the
water.
 While in shallow water, glide on front for at least 2 body lengths, then roll to back and
float on back for 3 seconds, then recover to a vertical position.

Speed and Agility - 3440503

Agility & Speed Camp is a four-week program designed to help you maximize your athletic ability. Through a set of drills and exercises (ladders, cones, running, jumping), we look to help you reach your potential as you get ready for your upcoming season. This course is tailored to off-season athletes but is open to all levels of participation. This program is taught by a PTCC personal trainer.

Summer Day Camp - 3630100

Required Medical Questionnaire is required and needs to be completed prior to camp registration. This is free of charge and can be completed at anytime.

We are looking forward to another year of Summer Day Camp at the Prairie Township Community Center! Camp will run from 8am-6pm for 10 weeks, and is open for campers aged 6-12! Campers will play sports, do art projects, and science experiments, swim, make new friends, go on field trips, and have a blast this summer! Registration for PTCC's summer day camp will be per week. CAMP SLOTS ARE LIMITED TO 75 CAMPERS PER WEEK. All camp participants are eligible to enroll in our payment plan. If you choose to enroll, an initial processing fee of $30R | $60NR will be required at the time of registration. All further payments will be drawn two weeks before your child attends camp. (Payment schedule available at www.prairietownship.org/410/Day-Camps ). Also, a discount will be given for additional children from the same family attending day camp. Each additional child will be able to enroll in camp at a 25% discount. ($112R | $135NR)

It's time for some football! This camp will work on the basic fundamentals of football including throwing, catching, running, teamwork etc. We will take those skills and play friendly games with each other. We will learn sportsmanship, teamwork, respect, discipline and how to be a great teammate. Campers should dress to be very active and be sure to bring a water bottle.

JumpBunch Superhero Boot Camp - 3631506

This camp is all about training to be your favorite superhero! To be a superhero means having strength, agility, balance, and speed. We focus on learning special superhero training skills through fun games and activities such as “jumping over hot lava,” “dodging fireballs,” “lightsaber training,” “scooter flying,” “ghostbuster tag,” and so many more! Being a superhero also means having compassion for society, a kind heart, and a willingness to do good and help others. These are qualities we discuss and talk about with our campers. This camp really encourages campers to be a superhero in everyday life! Campers should dress to be very active and bring a peanut free snack and water bottle each day.

Participants in this class will learn the basics of planting, watering, and maintaining a garden, and enjoy the fruits (and vegetables) of their labor along the way! This class is taught in conjunction with The Ohio State University, by their Master Gardeners! Parents are encouraged to stay, and observe or assist their children!

Learn a new language through this ONLINE COURSE with a structured framework founded on clear learning objectives, consistent content and the opportunity to acquire, develop and refine applicable skills in a positive encouraging environment. All program content and materials provided ONLINE by the instructor. Sessions are set up to allow for learning to continue and is required to enroll in the first session before moving on.
