This class helps the child trust the parent in the water. The instructor teaches the child to respect the water and enjoy the experience with the parent through drills, games, and songs. The child will be going under the water within the first few weeks. All equipment will be provided for the class. You will need to make sure you and your child has a swimsuit, towels, and that your infant wears a swim diaper during the class.

They also learn to swim a short distance after jumping into the water, and be comfortable lying on their back with little support. Make sure to bring swimsuits, towels, and a swim diaper for your child...All other equipment will be provided.

Parents start the session with their child in the water and then move out of the water slowly, away from their child until the instructor is teaching the children without the parents being present in the water. Make sure you have swimsuits, towels, and a swim diaper for your child.

Strength & Conditioning - 3440500

Strength & Conditioning is a program designed for tweens and teens to be active and involved while working on their overall strength technique and performance. Your child will learn proper techniques of resistance training and workout in a fun, comfortable and safe environment. This camp is taught by a PTCC personal trainer.

Kinderdance - 3621110

Kinderdance for young children, ages 3-5, is a developmental dance, motor skill, music, and fitness program, blended with academics, specifically designed for children ages 3-5. Parents who want to give their child the opportunity to dance will love how Kinderdance teaches the basics of Ballet, Tap and Creative Movement while blending educational concepts, designed to teach to the total child.

Each month the PTCC will have a different story teller to read a book, and do a short, fun craft for children in the community! Readers may come from Battelle Darby Metro Park, Southwest Public Libraries, the Prairie Township Fire Department, and more!

Summer Day Camp - 3630100

Required Medical Questionnaire is required and needs to be completed prior to camp registration. This is free of charge and can be completed at anytime.

We are looking forward to another year of Summer Day Camp at the Prairie Township Community Center! Camp will run from 8am-6pm for 10 weeks, and is open for campers aged 6-12! Campers will play sports, do art projects, and science experiments, swim, make new friends, go on field trips, and have a blast this summer! Registration for PTCC's summer day camp will be per week. CAMP SLOTS ARE LIMITED TO 75 CAMPERS PER WEEK. All camp participants are eligible to enroll in our payment plan. If you choose to enroll, an initial processing fee of $30R | $60NR will be required at the time of registration. All further payments will be drawn two weeks before your child attends camp. (Payment schedule available at www.prairietownship.org/410/Day-Camps ). Also, a discount will be given for additional children from the same family attending day camp. Each additional child will be able to enroll in camp at a 25% discount. ($112R | $135NR)
