Race your homemade zucchini racer at the first annual Zucchini 500 race at the Prairie Township Farmer's Market
To participate in the Zucchini 500 race, children ages 3-12 will create and decorate race cars using zucchini.
The cars will then race down a wooden ramp. The races will begin at 6 pm. Eliminations continue until a winner is determined. This is a FREE event.

Registration
1. Children can register for the race at the Community Center, Farmers Market or online. Children may also register on race day.
2. Early registration allows entrants to build and decorate their racers at home.

Race Cars
1. Each race car must be created from a single zucchini with wheels and axles. The axles must go through the zuchinni. Similarly-sized yellow squash and cucumbers are also permitted.
2. There is no size limit for the zucchini.
3. The zucchini may be purchased inside/outside the market. Market vendors will have some available for purchase.
4. Racers may be decorated at home. Also, a craft table with a limited number of supplies with pipe cleaners, stickers, construction paper, glue, tape, toothpicks, etc., will be available at the market on September 10 from 4-5:30 pm.
